ABOUT THE ARTIST
- Electric sometimes.
- Rarely indifferent.
- Frequently scalding.
In much of my work, I present the faces of women who have known abuse, women who have been made to feel insignificant by the heartlessness of domestic violence or rape and the callousness of indifference, and women who move on in spite of life treacheries. I paint with a bold, representational approach to line, color and tone to marry the real and unreal, the fantastic and the fantasy, areas separated by the thinnest of lines. As a fledgling artist, I am only beginning to tap into the emotion of color and shape and the spirituality I believe to be inherent therein.
